Day 25, Evening

Carla just got back from kangaroo time with Hannah. We didn't know this, but Hannah's been getting breast milk through the feeding tube for a couple days now; we had assumed they were still using pedialyte, but apparently they just used that for the first few hours. Anyway, she's now up to 1.5 ccs per hour (about an ounce per day). This is in addition to the IV fluids, which they will gradually taper off as she takes more and more nutrition through her digestive system. Everything else is going fine.

  1. AWESOME! That means she will be growing rapidly! She seems to be doing really well. That won't stop our prayers, though. :-)

  2. Karl, I just started getting these blog reports and catching up, due to computer problems and not getting your original e-mails.

Hannah is amazing, and so are the both of you! What a relief that she's beginning to stabilize. Know that you have another dozen members of team Hannah, and as soon as you are ready for guests, or if we can help with meals or anything else you may need, the chorus is here for you!
